The Importance of Communication

Culture
Chapter 3:
Group 1 presented a thought out presentation about the highlights of culture and its communication. They shared the standards of what is considered right and wrong, and how in every culture, there must be its values. Ideal values are the ones that members meant to hold, while the real values are the ones that guide the actual behavior. They demonstrated by sharing information on cultures and visuals that give a better understanding of the concept. Examples of this were given by stating how people who are born within the same generation can develop co-cultures. It allows for them to share similar experiences, ideals, and more. Adopting an appropriate attitude is the way to start communication with an open mind.

Groups
Chapter 9:
Group 2 shared the importance of communicating and the different types of groups there are. Groups consist of several people who share a common purpose, and how it focuses on group communication, which is what makes the experience an overall positive or negative energy. It all starts with how we communicate with family members while growing up. This was shown by adding videos and information on how different social groups communicate. There are many types of groups, like social, support, interest, and families are all ways that this is demonstrated. For instance, social groups fulfill our needs as humans to feel accepted and included. No matter the location or purpose, a group gets together to accomplish their goal. It begins by storming their opinions and going from there.

Leadership
Chapter 10:
Group 3 explained how group leadership and problem-solving are handled. Leadership is all about setting common goals and finding the extra support when needed. It brings the best out of everyone. Roles are given to set the behaviors in order to help the group maintain positive working relationships. Procedural roles are what help arrange group meetings and keep track of everything. Gatekeepers are the ones that make sure that each member will have an opportunity to share. The key to its success starts with communication and the responsibilities that each is issued. This is established by having meetings before, during, and after to ensure the standards are met. To get their performance right, the effort is what matters the most. By introducing the team, hooking the audience, and sharing their work with visuals. When faced with a problem, the group can take methods to overcome it. By identifying the source instead of the signs. Coming up with 20 or more solutions is the way to come to a conclusion that works best for everyone. This process allows for a deeper understanding of the problem and helps develop a great result.
